NEET Syllabus 2026: The National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET (UG)) – 2026 is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). As India's common entrance test, it facilitates admissions into undergraduate medical education programs like MBBS, BDS, BAMS, and BHMS across all medical institutions. We aims to provide essential insights into the NEET Syllabus 2026 for aspiring medical students.
The National Medical Commission (NMC) has formally released the NEET Syllabus 2026 for the upcoming academic session 2026-27. The comprehensive syllabus document is accessible on the official websites of both NTA and NMC.
The NEET Syllabus 2026 comprises a total of 87 chapters, with 19 chapters in Physics, 30 in Chemistry, and 38 in Biology.
Candidates can download the officially released syllabus PDF from the given link here. Candidates who are aspiring to become a doctor and want to clear the NEET 2026 exam are advised to check and refer the syllabus by NTA and prepare accordingly. Click the link below to download the syllabus PDF.
The NEET (UG) 2026 will be conducted in a traditional pen and paper format. The examination consists of Multiple Choice Questions from core science subjects.
| NEET UG Exam Pattern | ||
|---|---|---|
| Subject | No. of Questions | Marks |
| Physics | 45 | 180 |
| Chemistry | 45 | 180 |
| Biology (Botany & Zoology) | 90 | 360 |
| Total | 180 | 720 |
For each correct answer, four marks (+4) will be awarded, while one mark (-1) will be deducted for every incorrect response. Unattempted questions will not receive any marks.
The National Medical Commission (NMC) has officially released the syllabus for NEET (UG) - 2026. This comprehensive syllabus is available on the official websites of NTA and NMC (https://www.nmc.org.in). There are no reported changes to the syllabus compared to the previous year.
