The University of Warwick was established in 1965 by the government to expand higher education. The campus of the university is spread across 290 acres on the outskirts of Coventry. The Warwick has around 29,534 full-time students and 2,691 academic and research staff, with an average intake of 4,950 undergraduates out of 38,071 applicants. Presently, the University of Warwick has an acceptance rate of 14% and is presently home to 9000 International students from 140 countries.

University of Warwick Campus

The University of Warwick boasts a sprawling main campus that spans across three contiguous campuses. The campus covers an impressive 710 acres (2.88 km2) of land, situated between the City of Coventry and the County of Warwickshire. The campus is home to a plethora of student amenities, including all but four of the student halls of residence and the Students' Union. 

The campus is also home to Warwick Arts Centre, which is the largest multi-venue arts complex in the UK outside of London. The original campus buildings were constructed in the 1960s and feature contemporary architecture. Additionally, the university owns a site in Wellesbourne, which was acquired in 2004 when it merged with Horticulture Research International.

University of Warwick Work-Study Programs

The University of Warwick has prescribed the working rules for the students who have enrolled in the Undergraduate or Postgraduate programs offered. The students have to adhere to the working hours prescribed for their courses. Any violation of the working hours will be considered illegal and the students will be liable for penalty or imprisonment as well. 

The UKVI calculates working hours from Monday to Sunday hence you have to make sure that you do not exceed 20 hours from Monday to Sunday. The 20-hour limit is for all work you undertake all the work should not exceed over 20 hours.

  • You can work full-time before your course starts and after your course ends, as specified on your CAS.

  • Part-time during term time, that is, no more than 10 hours per week which is defined by the Home Office as Monday to Sunday
