University College Dublin: John Henry Cardinal Newman, a famous educator, helped to start University College Dublin in the middle of the 1800s. University College Dublin Intakes

Applications for undergraduate programs at University College Dublin are accepted starting on October 1st. Applications from international students must be submitted by July 15, 2024. The deadline for master's courses varies based on the program and college/faculty.

University College Dublin Campus

The campus of University College Dublin is beautiful and well-equipped for the needs of students. The institution was built with a lake in the center. Students prefer to gather around the gardens and the lakes. Some of the students' favorite areas on campus are:

  • Students at the James Joyce Library may access over a million print books and half a million electronic books. The library offers several quiet reading rooms for those needing a peaceful study area.

  • University College Dublin's sports facility has a variety of exercise equipment as well as an Olympic-sized pool for swimming training. There is also a hockey pitch in the building.

  • University College Dublin is one of the biggest urban campuses in Europe, covering 133 hectares of green, verdant parks.

  • The initiatives work in collaboration with the government, more than 250 businesses, and nonprofit organizations to meet national research objectives and maximize their influence on Ireland's social and economic growth.

  • There are more than 100 clubs and organizations at UCD that allow students to meet new people and form friendships, making them the most active students in Ireland. Student organizations and networks are excellent resources for discovering new interests and pursuing old ones. 

  • Students at all fitness levels, from casual exercise enthusiasts to Olympians, can make use of the many facilities provided by the newly renovated Sport and Fitness Center. 

  • The main UCD Belfield campus features a wide variety of non-academic services, including restaurants, cafes, a bookstore, a bike shop, a barber shop, a post office, a bank, a bar, a grocery store, a big student center, and excellent sports facilities.
