TOEFL Exam Eligibility 2024 - The Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) is a test designed to assess applicants' English language skills. TOEFL is administered by the Educational Testing Service (ETS) to candidates seeking to study at various international universities, work, or get permanent residency (PR) in countries such as the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, New Zealand, and others. Candidates can register for the TOEFL exam on the ETS official website. The TOEFL exam is administered in two formats: TOEFL Essentials and TOEFL iBT.
ETS, the organisation that administers the TOEFL exam, has not established any TOEFL qualifying requirements for students wishing to take the exam. However, applicants who have completed their 10+2 education from a recognised institution are the best qualified to take the TOEFL exam. If a candidate wants to take the TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) test, they must first meet the eligibility requirements. Concerning TOEFL exam eligibility, we would like to inform you that there are no fixed conditions for taking it. Candidates who have finished 10+2 or equivalent education from a recognised institution are eligible to take the TOEFL exam.
In general, students who wish to study abroad take the TOEFL language test, which allows institutions to assess their speaking, writing, listening, and reading ability. A student must pay a TOEFL exam cost of 190 US dollars regardless of the TOEFL exam format they choose (TOEFL iBT, TOEFL at home, or TOEFL test on paper, which has been eliminated).
ETS, the organisation that administers the TOEFL exam, has not established an age limit for candidates who want to take the test. Study abroad students who want to study in an English-speaking country that needs the TOEFL as part of the application/admissions process can take the test at any age.
ETS has not specified any specific academic qualifications as part of the TOEFL qualifying requirements. To take the TOEFL exam, students must have completed their 10+2 education from a recognised board of education. To put it simply, applicants for the TOEFL must have completed their 12th grade or achieved an equivalent degree.
Before applying and registering for the TOEFL exam, students should ensure that they have all of the documentation necessary by ETS (the agency that administers the TOEFL exam) for exam registration.
To begin, individuals who wish to apply or register for the TOEFL examination must have a valid passport. This passport should be valid both at the time of registration and throughout the TOEFL exam. Candidates are not permitted to take notes on paper; instead, they may utilise a tiny desktop whiteboard and an erasable pen.
After the test, applicants must demonstrate the invigilator that all notes have been deleted.
When it comes to retaking the TOEFL exam, students can do so as many times as they wish, as long as they get their desired TOEFL score. In general, there are no eligibility requirements or limits on how many times a candidate can take the TOEFL exam. We urge applicants to allow at least three days between their first and second attempts.
TOEFL eligibility score is the minimal TOEFL score required by universities abroad to admit students. When most colleges set minimal admission requirements for students, they include a TOEFL score cut-off.
Generally, the TOEFL English proficiency exam is broken into four sections: writing, listening, reading, and speaking.
