About the University

Queen's University Belfast was started in 1845 by Queen Victoria because she wanted to give people a choice of where to study that wasn't connected to a specific religious group, unlike Trinity College Dublin. It's become a really important place for research in the UK. It's been around for a long time, more than 175 years! The university has a lot of history and is known for being really good at academic stuff and coming up with new ideas. There are students from all over the world, about 3,500 of them, from 80 different countries.

A big number of these students, around 25%, come from India. The campus is in a beautiful part of Belfast, with old buildings mixed with modern ones. It's a great place to study with all these different backgrounds and cultures coming together. Even though it's hard to get in, they try to help students afford it by offering scholarships.   4. Hulusi Akar: Hulusi Akar is a retired general from the Turkish Armed Forces who later became a politician. He served as the Minister of National Defense and the chief of the Turkish General Staff. Akar played important roles in various military operations, including NATO missions and Turkish involvement in conflicts like the Syrian Civil War.

  5. Seamus Justin Heaney: Seamus Justin Heaney was an Irish poet, playwright, and translator. He's famous for winning the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1995. Requirements for Study

Undergraduate Programs at Queen's University Belfast:
