University of Victoria Work-Study Programs
To be eligible for a work study position at the University of Victoria, students need to meet specific criteria. The work study program runs from September to April each year, providing opportunities for students to gain valuable experience. However, it is important to note that the program is not available during the summer months (May to August).
Once students are approved for the program, they will receive an email detailing their allotted work hours and the term of study for which they are authorised. Prior to starting work, students must ensure they possess a valid Social Insurance Number (SIN). This can be obtained by visiting a Service Canada Centre in person to apply for the SIN.
