Sault College: Sault College was founded in 1965 and was formerly known as the Sault Ste. Marie Ontario Vocational Centre. It has developed significantly over the years, with programs in every field. The school presently serves over 4,500 full- and part-time students each year. Sault College provides education in fields such as aviation, business, hospitality, engineering, health, language and communications, media and design, and indigenous education. 

Sault also maintains a partnership with Lake Superior State University and often provides resources to the college. Around 93.5% of students are satisfied with the level of knowledge and skills provided by Sault College. The Acceptance rate for the quality of the learning experience is around 89.6%. Sault College has more than 3,965 full-time students. The college maintains February 1 as the application deadline for all programs.

Sault College Campus

The primary campus of Sault College is located in the small city of Ste. Marie, Ontario. The campus is bound by dog parks, skate parks, yoga and fitness centers, and a lengthy non-motorized hub route. There is a new waterfront home with a main building and a boathouse for both students and community members. Here are some special features of the campus.

  • The Health and Wellness Centre on campus includes a gymnasium, a yoga studio, and a two-lane walking/running track. 

  • Sault College's library has group study areas, computers, audio-visual equipment, and a lounge area.

  • The Early Learning Centre at Sault College provides onsite childcare to students, teachers, and the community. The campus includes a spa salon, a health care center, an equity room, and a student employment center. 

  • It has two additional campuses, in Toronto and Brampton. The Toronto campus provides four diploma courses and five graduate certificate programs. Meanwhile, the Brampton campus only provides five certification programs.
