Northern College

Northern College of Applied Arts and Technology, commonly known as Northern College, is a college of applied arts and technology in Northern Ontario. Northern College was established in 1967 through the amalgamation of several institutions, including Haileybury School of Mines, Porcupine School of Mines, and the Timmins Vocational School. These institutions had a history of providing education and training in mining and related fields.

According to QS World Ranking Northern College is ranked 396 globally in 2022. According to another popular ranking body US News & World Report , Northern College is ranked 241 in Canada for the year 2022. This college has also secured rank #1406 in 2022 according to Times Higher Education.

Northern College offers programs in the departments of Business and Office Administration, Community Services, Engineering Technology and Trades, Health Sciences and Emergency Services, Veterinary Sciences, Welding Engineering Technology, and Post-secondary Preparation.
